This week, Makers Academy members have been sharing their unique versions of our Winter Mandala pattern ❄️
Coryna H. (left) said: "A little color switch up to make the little birdie a western bluebird on the Winter Mandala. Completed over the weekend in a cabin in the mountains."
Bethany G. (right) shared: " I made the winter mandala, but decided I wanted a more woodsy, cozy bird. So I ended up swapping some colors…I changed the blue and purple to a lighter shade, but more noticeably, I swapped the orange, red, pink, and white on the bird and his accessories to a yellow with lighter brown body, and his hat and scarf I decided to color coordinate with a red and green combo of 2 green and 1 red thread!"

We're well and truly into the swing of 2026! It's still school holidays here in New Zealand, so my days have been a mix of diving back into work and soaking up time with the kids.
On the work front, things are feeling really exciting. I've been spending a lot of time planning out the year ahead - mapping out launches, new projects and some big-picture goals for the business.There's a lot on the horizon, which has made it clear that we're ready to grow our creative team. We're looking to bring someone new on board to work alongside me and Bess, so if you love embroidery, are creative, and want to be part of a hardworking, passionate team, please send through your application here. Project-wise, I've also been quietly working on the design for our 2026 Advent Calendar over the break. It's so adorable and is going to be such a treat to open over 12 days in December.
