We had a wonderful long weekend away at the mountain, celebrating a mate's 40th birthday. It was definitively a long trek to get there and back (road trips with kids sure aren't the same as in the old pre-kids days!), but it was totally worth it for all the fun we had! The kids both had their first day learning to ski, and I was pretty blown away with how well they did! I spent my time chasing them up and down the learner slope yelling 'pizza shape!', 'watch out!' and 'you're doing so great!'. I felt like I got a workout too haha, and it was so cool seeing the kids learn something new. Then it was time to relax in the cafΓ© with a G&T while Matt burned around the upper slopes (he also described it as 'tumbling down' the slopes at times). I have tried snowboarding a handful of times…and let's just say it doesn't seem to come naturally to me. So I had written it off and felt content to help the kids learn. But after this weekend, I'm wondering if I try skiing instead… Anyway it's back to the hustle and bustle at Clever Poppy HQ this week, and we are super busy getting ready to launch registrations for the new Bee Happy workshop! Plus I'm working on the new festive Stick & Stitch pattern for next month. Check out the sneak peek below. |
