| | On the Blog... Threading your needle | | Have you ever struggled to thread your needle? I think we all have! If you'd like some tips, jump over to my blog here on this exact topic. I hope this helps you on your embroidery journey! | | What have our Makers been up to? | | We are loving seeing the beautiful versions of our newest pattern 'Christmas Village' popping up in our member group, like this gorgeous version shared by member Sue-Ann. Doesn't it give you all those lovely festive vibes?! She said: "Just finished. Nice little project that I've just done a little each day. Thanks for the great pattern." | | What's inspiring me on the creative front... | | I know a lot of you are interested in stitching onto clothing, so I had to share this gorgeous embroidered sweater by Sarah of @threadunraveled with you. Sarah is a talented embroidery artist whose style is all about beautiful florals, lettering and cute designs which you will often see stitched onto clothing, accessories and shoes. She also has some great tips for stitching onto chunky knit material like this cute kids sweater. If you are interested in learning about this then you can check out her Instagram page here. | | Amy shared with me this post by author @jessurlichs recently and I thought it was too relatable not to share. Motherhood has to be one of the hardest jobs there is (and rewarding too of course!), but often no one talks about the mental load a mother takes on, because we just get on with it! I feel super blessed to have a hubby like Matt who takes on a lot of the mental load, otherwise I'd be bonkers I think (ha!). And I take my hat off to all of my fellow mums out there, you are superstars! | | The weeks continue to fly by and get even busier as we lead into the festive season! We had a really fun event over the weekend – our group of mates run an 'amazing race' each year. We were team yellow (in case you couldn't guess) and after a bunch of challenges across the day, we won! My favourite part was the end where I learnt how to use a waterbomb catapult. I also squeezed in a day to celebrate a friend's birthday at a races event, and it was super fun to get all glammed up. Here at Clever Poppy HQ, we're busy restocking our online shelves. You guys are absolutely loving festive embroidery patterns at the moment! Plus I'll have my head-down creating the floral frame pattern, whose due date has totally crept up on me. Oh and I've secured two new incredible artists for guest patterns in the new year – one for a Valentine's Day theme pattern, and the other for a Mother's Day theme.
