A fast course. A strong field. A standout result.
American Olympian Kirsten Kasper staged one of the most thrilling late-race comebacks of the season, claiming her second victory in only her third IRONMAN 70.3 race of her career.
The Deficit: After a choppy swim and strong bike ride, Kasper entered T2 in third place, but over five minutes behind the leader.
The Hunt: Staying as cool as a cucumber, Kasper methodically erased the deficit unleashing the fastest run split of the day with a 1:19:33 half marathon split finishing in a time of 4:00:50.
A complete performance, start to finish.
