| Hello and happy new year wishes from our side of the world! I hope it's kicked off to a good start for you all. We've been having some awesome quality time with family over the Christmas and NY break. So far there's been lots of sunshine, camping, toasting marshmallows, river swims, raft building, and outdoor fun! Throw in a couple of massive road trips too – always fun with kids in the backseat… 'Are we theeeeere yet mum?' We're into the second leg of our holiday - which is out on the water. And I would love to say it's been more sunshine and swimming…but it's been solid rain and wind. Ha! Matt and I have still managed a 'refreshing' swim each morning…little do the kids know, but we might have to drag them in tomorrow am too. Eeek! In terms of Clever Poppy HQ, Amy our star team member had an awesome break away with her wee boy, Archer and partner. She is now back at HQ, despatching all the lovely orders we received over the break. And while it's wonderful for me to have a change of scenery and spend time with the kids, this time of year is also super important for me on the creative front. I pretty much spend every second I can stitching up the ideas I've been dreaming of. It's really important that I have time to be creative while not on a deadline, so that ideas can flow. So far I've stitched up an owl themed pattern on dark fabric, which you can see a sneak peek of below. I'm also stitching a rainbow and have plans for a 'summer adventure' style pattern - hands up who wants me to feature a campervan?! Plus so many more ideas to come. I will be sharing the process on the 'gram so follow me there if you want to see more. On that note, I'm off to finish stitching up our Feb pattern, which is a stunning design by a guest artist. I'm absolutely loving stitching it up, and can't wait to share more about it with you soon. |
