| | New pattern: Little Bouquet! | | We're on a roll, and we've just released another beginner kit. Meet Little Bouquet! This is a really simple pattern we thought might be cute in the lead-up to Valentine's Day. It's a great pattern if you're dipping your toes in the wonderful world of embroidery because it features beginner-friendly stitches and techniques such as lazy daisy flowers, woven roses, and satin stitch. And the cool thing is – the kit includes access to an epic step-by-step video experience. So you can rest assured that even if you're totally new, I'll help you learn embroidery and make your own Little Bouquet. I just know you'll love stitching this pattern and hanging it proudly on the wall or giving it to that special someone this Valentine's Day! Shop this kit while we still have some in stock. | | | Little Bouquet Beginner Kit |
| | | | | | Learn how to stitch French knots | | Have you ever tried doing a French knot before? They might look difficult, but I promise all you need is some practice. These small, textured embroidery knots add such a charming raised detail to your fabric! This knot is a must-have for so many embroidery designs. Learning this technique might feel a bit tricky as a beginner, but just trust me and follow this exact method. Keep practising, don't give up, and before you know it you'll be making awesome progress and creating your own French Knots! | | What's inspiring me on the creative front... | | There is no doubt this DIY dollhouse by @genevavanderzeil will delight children and adults alike! Geneva spent December breathing new life into a second-hand dollhouse by turning it into a gorgeous plant shop, cafe, craft room, and book store. We especially love the painted cork bricks and stained popsicle stick tiles! This talented woman describes herself as a DIYer, upcycler, and innovator. Her instagram is full of incredible DIY inspo, including restoration and lifestyle projects, decorations, and beaded bags. | | Stitch your 2024 - a year to remember | | A great way to make time for yourself and immortalise your fav memories from the year is to create an embroidery journal like Brenna from @botanical.stitching has done. Her idea is to stitch motifs to represent each week of her year. But if you're short on time (like me), then you might prefer to stitch fortnightly or monthly motifs. You can also display it inbetween stitching and watch as it becomes more full as the year goes by. What a wonderful idea! | | Summer keeps giving in NZ, with loads of sunny weather! We've been working and hanging with the kids, and now we've headed off on a camping trip with a big bunch of friends. I really feel like nothing beats camping for the kids – the sense of freedom, community and fun outdoors is next level! Let's hope the good weather continues… On the creative front, I've been finalising easter patterns and shooting video tutorials. I've also started designing some patterns that have a similar vibe to our super popular 'Bee Happy' design, which keeps selling out before we have time to restock! I'm thinking a watering can, glass milk bottle, and gum boots are cute options, so watch this space… I know a lot of you are in the northern hemisphere, where it's cooler weather. That might be why so many of our kits are zooming around the world, as stitching goes so well with cosy indoor weather. For me, I like stitching any time of year. Can you tell? Either way, have a wonderful week, and happy stitching! | | No longer want to receive these emails? Unsubscribe. Clever Poppy Ltd 39 Woodside Ave Northcote, Auckland 0627 | | | | |
