With hair embroidery, you can create realistic hairstyles such as French Braids and 'up-do's' to elevate any pattern.

In this blog, we will be focusing on one of my favourite embroidered hairstyles, a french braid. This is such a gorgeous intricate hairstyle to create for long hair!

Felicity created this special piece, where she personalised one of our wreath patterns for a teacher's gift.

Doesn't her stitching look so incredible? My favourite are the woven roses, they have so much lovely volume and texture!

What's inspiring me on the creative front...

Advice & wellness podcast recommendation

For those of you on the 'new year, better me' buzz, you may be interested in Jay Shetty's 'On Purpose' podcast. Jay Shetty is a former monk and an award-winning author and podcaster. His podcast is all about passing on wisdom from insightful people and celebrity guests who are incredible at what they do. He has many podcasts that focus on achieving your dreams, growing your career, managing stress and anxiety, and improving your health and wellness. This was recommended to me by our team member, Lauren, and I am super keen to check it out too!

In our world...

Happy new year to you all!! I hope you had a wonderful festive season, and are ready to embrace all the awesome things this new year will bring.

As I write this, I'm away boating with our family - it's a stunning day, and all sorts of water and beach activities are lined up for the afternoon. How lucky are we?! It's very relaxing, although I can't say I have achieved much stitching yet…maybe later this week. I hope so! In the meantime I'm slowly working on stitching up The Gardening Bee with our new threads (more on that later).

On the Clever Poppy front, I have been blown away by all the love and excitement for our new guest pattern by Aly Ploof. Lots of our members are diving right into stitching it up, and we can't wait to see examples of it popping up by our makers.
