I am so excited to reveal this month's new pattern - Zooming Home for Christmas!  This pattern is all about embracing some festive fun and creating a happy scene in the lead up to Christmas. The pattern includes both a Winter and Summer theme for those in different hemispheres.  I am recommending this to Super Confident Makers +. It is a great way to brush up on and improve your Satin Stitch skills! And don't worry if you feel a bit daunted by all of the Satin Stitch in this pattern, because I've got lots of tips in the guide to help you on this front. We also have a kit for this pattern, which you can purchase from our shop. It includes the printed pattern guide, a piece of cotton fabric, threads and display hoop for your finished piece. GRAB THE PATTERN KIT What have our makers been up to? How creative are these versions of our Festive Alphabet designs, our member Kerryn changed up to make Kiwiana themed? She added a little kiwifruit and some Pohutukawa flowers... how cute! She said: "I've been loving playing with the Christmas letter pattern to make it a little more Kiwi summer Christmas. Thank you to everyone who gave me feedback when I shared the A. I've added kiwifruit to the L and I'm really impressed with myself! 😅" Teacher Gift Examples... I have been seeing quite a few of our members share some beautiful embroidered gifts for their children's teachers this year for Christmas, and I thought it would be lovely to share some examples to give you inspiration!  Levelled Up Bee Happy Design... I was recently inspired to level up my Bee Happy design, after seeing all of the incredible versions of this pattern from our Bee Happy workshop! I added some water in the jar, and lots more flowers. I just had to share this incredibly beautiful hand embroidered tablecloth, which embroidery artist Chloe Amy Avery has been working on for an upcoming exhibit. Would you believe this is all free hand stitched?! I can't even imagine how long this would take to stitch with all the little details. She also shares a snippet of the back of the piece in her reel here if you want to check it out. We kicked off the week with Halloween, and took the kids trick or treating. They loved it so much! And they sure are looking forward to going to a 'Creepy Carnival' at their friend's school this weekend. To be honest, Halloween didn't feature much in my childhood here in small town New Zealand. But now that I have kids, it's quite fun to embrace the dress ups and fun of the occasion! I know it's a big deal over in the States – my Instagram feed is FULL of Halloween DIY projects, treats and embroidery designs. It makes me wonder if I should add a spooky design into next year's pattern plan…hit reply if that's something you'd be keen to see??? And now that we're into Nov, you can bet the focus will shift to all things festive.
