On the Blog... DIY Macrame Leaves Have you checked out our new blog article, with a beautiful DIY guide for making these beautiful Macrame leaves? It's not embroidery, but thought it might be fun to share a simple project in the fibre crafting world, this time a beginners macrame project!  These would look really lovely and stylish on your wall at home and although they look tricky, they really aren't!  If you like the look of these and would like to learn how to make them with a straightforward tutorial, check out my blog article here. GO TO THE BLOG What have our Makers been up to? How stunning is this version of our 'A Little Wildflower Meadow' shared by our lovely member Nicole? We just love the additions she added to make it her own! She said: "After spending several weeks at home with sick kiddos and being sick myself, I finally put the finishing touches on my most recent projects. I am LOVING being a part of Julie's Maker's Academy. She makes things so simple and stress-free to learn. I am so thankful I found her!" 'The Treehouse' Member examples... We have loved seeing versions of 'The Treehouse' pattern shared with us since its release - clearly it has inspired a lot of people to bring back their childhood memories by stitching this piece. Here are just some of the stunning versions that have been shared. Aren't they beautiful?! What's inspiring me on the creative front... How incredibly sweet is this custom embroidered doll, created by Gillian of @thewoollycanvas? Gillian is super talented, and specialises in making beautiful felt wands, dolls and embroidery DIY projects. You can see her process of making this beautiful doll here.  Something to make you feel good... This heartwarming video popped up on my Insta feed from @goodnewsdog and it was such a great reminder that there really are some kind and caring people out there in the world. It sure gave me all the feels... so I thought I'd share it with you. I hope it makes your day!  Shop Highlight... The Treehouse I have loved hearing all of the wonderful feedback on this pattern so far, and seeing all of the beautiful versions shared with us. This lovely whimsical and playful design will hopefully bring out your inner child while you stitch, bringing nostalgia and childhood memories of playing in your backyard treehouse. So many orders are flying out the door (thank you thank you) and I'm working hard on the upcoming pattern and new stitch technique tutorial. Plus there are always many more things that come across my desk. In fact, you might like to watch this video I made last week, for a little insight into a day in my studio!    We've had another round of terrible weather here in New Zealand, and I can't stop thinking about what some families must be going through. It's heart breaking. The kids school has been closed again, so the juggle continues…but I'm focusing on being very thankful that we are all safe and well.
