Exciting news for USA customers!

Woohoo! Our team here at Clever Poppy have been working sooo hard behind the scenes for awhile now, and we can finally share some exciting news for our U.S. customers...

We've just started shipping from our fulfillment center in the USA!

We now stock all of our embroidery kits and supplies with the Shopify fulfilment network in the USA.

This means faster shipping, and cheaper shipping options for all of our lovely customers and members based in the States, including:

On the Blog... Learn the Bullion Knot

Are you keen to give yourself a challenge and try a new stitch? Then why not learn the Bullion Knot! This is featured in our pattern 'Floral Rainbow Sampler'.

I think of this technique as a sister technique to French Knots, because it also involves creating a knot by wrapping your thread around the needle – but this time it's a much longer knot.

This is quite possibly one of the most challenging embroidery techniques that I teach. So don't worry if you find them quite hard, and you make a lot of wonky or failed knots along the way! You definitely won't be alone. It's all about progress over perfection here at Clever Poppy!

Floral Rainbow Sampler Member examples...

We have loved seeing lots of our members get out of their comfort zone and stitching our 'Floral Rainbow Sampler' pattern. We just had to share some of the beautiful examples shared with us. They are all so unique and special in their own way!

Here's some feedback that our lovely member Sylvia had to share about this pattern:

"Happily finished the Floral Rainbow Sampler last night and I'm delighted with the result! This piece brings some cheerful spring vibes into our home here in the Netherlands. I especially loved practicing the fluffy Turkey stitch, the thread bundle flower and the cute bullion knots flower! There's definitely room for improvement, but I just imagine my embroidery skills are budding, like spring flowers."

What's inspiring me on the creative front...

We are obsessed with these embroidered shoes by the talented Amaris of @threaded_studio - how gorgeous are they?! I know I would absolutely love to wear a pair of these on the daily, maybe one to match every outfit hehe! Amaris' embroidery is all about beautiful abstract pieces with lots of texture and gorgeous vibrant colours. One of her specialties and favourite things to make are these custom embroidered shoes, which she designs uniquely to each person's requested palate. I have been working a lot on my mindset lately, especially around building confidence as our business grows. I listened to this podcast episode from the one and only Mel Robbins (@melrobbins) recently, and I thought it was too relatable not to share with you. She talks all about confidence, and how it is a skill that anyone can build. It was sooo powerful and yet so simple that it really blew my mind! You can check out the episode here.

In my world...

Here at Clever Poppy HQ, I've been working this week on a few different projects. One is an upcoming guest pattern (by another artist that I absolutely admire and whose work I adore). Another is my next live workshop, which will kick off in May. I'll share more about these soon, but in the meantime, just know that some really cool things are coming your way!
