As I write this, I'm counting down the days until the Easter School Holidays. This means I'm super excited about the upcoming break and spending time with my family and friends. I also means I'm trying not to freak out about how much work I need to tick off before the end of Thurs! Hehe don't worry, this is just how it rolls and luckily I plan well ahead to account for the school hols. But hey, this week is going to fly by! I also had a very cute conversation with the kids today, where Piper (6) was questioning if the Easter bunny was real. She said it was 'impossible' for him to hand out eggs to everyone. Harvey (8) doesn't believe, so he and I were catching each other's eyes and trying not to laugh, while carefully encouraging Piper to keep believing. It made me realise that the days of magical Santa and Easter etc will be ending soon, so I've got to treasure them while I can! Here at Clever Poppy HQ, I've absolutely loved sharing about my new Spring Meadows pattern. Thanks for all of your orders and kind words about it! I did a live session with our member's group, explaining how much I now love working Long and Short Stitch in a more free and abstract way. So it will be wonderful to see this translating into the work being shared in our group. In other news, Matt and I had a totally epic Sunday, where we went to a concert here in Auckland. It was supposed to be on Sat, but due to weather got postponed. So it was a frantic scramble, as our friend group tried to rebook babysitters and get our heads around a big Sunday out. But my word, was it worth it! Synthony is this incredible concept where they fuse a live orchestra with electronic dance music. So we all got to relive the dance anthems of our 20's in an amazing atmosphere. I'm already keen to go again next year! And if you have the chance to go to Synthony or a similar concept in your part of the world, I'd say go for it! Ok back to work, have a wonderful week everyone! |
