What have our Makers been up to?

Elaine recently decided to make an embroidery journal (a fabric book to show her progress with each pattern). This is the first page, and we can already see that it's such a beautiful way to display your work!

She said: "I finished the first page of my embroidery art journal. Unlike the instructions in the article I posted, I think I'll wait until I have a second page finished, then blanket stitch them together."

We are so looking forward to seeing this come together Elaine!

Something interesting...

Can you imagine what Princess Diana would look like today if she were still alive? Well no need to imagine, digital artist Alper Yesiltas (@alperyesiltas) has brought her back to life! I came across his work on instagram and it is sooo interesting what he does! He creates digital art with AI, and one of his projects is turning photos of people in their time, into real life 'future' versions of themselves, like this one of Diana below. What's inspiring me on the creative front...

How pretty are these embroidered little flower boxes by Korean embroidery artist @happy_jasu? I just love all the little details and texture that she has created with her embroidery techniques. Her style is all about using raised embroidery and different materials and embellishments to create sweet little intricate pieces like this one. In our world...

Oh gosh I have been dreading writing this, because we've had a really tough week here at both Clever Poppy HQ and home. Matt and Amy's amazing mum Sue passed away unexpectedly this week. It's a complete shock and we're still processing what a heart-breaking loss this is. We were all super close to Sue – she's the mum and nana we did all of our boating with, and luckily we have so many amazing memories to treasure with her.

All I can say, is hold your loved ones close, and appreciate every moment you get to spend with them.

And keep sharing your beautiful creations with us – it makes us smile when we see them. They're like little rays of sunshine in our day.
