It's been a week of adventure for our family, as Piper and I joined Matt and Harvey on their boating trip. I'm not sure if I've mentioned, but they're on a bucket-list trip, cruising around New Zealand on Matt's dad's boat. There aren't any roads into the southernmost part of Fiordland where the boat has reached, so Piper and I had to chopper in. I wasn't complaining, because that in itself was an unbelievable experience, seeing the snow-capped mountains and beautiful fiords from the air. Talk about exhilarating! We have Starlink on the boat (it's a game-changer for working remotely), so I'm writing this from a little cove at the bottom of Stewart Island. It's pretty amazing to be exploring some of the most remote areas of New Zealand. The weather is incredibly cold, and we've seen lots of rain and some sandflies. But throw in some sunshine, crystal clear water, albatross, crayfish, paua, rainforest, and blue cod, and we're in our happy place! On the Clever Poppy front, I'm once again focused on pattern development. I'm super excited about our guest collab with Amanda, which drops on the 1st of April, which you are going to 'love' so much (hint hint). And stay tuned for a new pot plant-themed stitch sampler, plus some floral gumboots. Have a great week, everyone! |
