We are in the thick of school holidays, so I'm writing this sitting at my sisters kitchen bench in Wellington. It's been a busy and really fun time! The kids have been hanging out with their cousins, so there's been lots of games, noise, laughter and of course the odd squabble. It's an awesome time, and I look forward to these parts of the year so much.
How cool is this – all 3 boys begged me to teach them embroidery the other day! So we spent about 3 hours solid, with them learning and working on their designs. Now I know what Matt feels like when the kids ask to go fishing with him – I felt like I was running a charter boat! I was full-time threading needles, making knots, undoing tangles and guiding them through the process. And it was so rewarding to see their gorgeous little selves slow down, concentrate, and enjoy trying something new. The last couple of days, they've all been asking to do more. I really can see all those mindfulness benefits we talk about having an impact on them too. How amazing!
Back at Clever Poppy HQ, Matt and Amy have been holding down the fort. We've got so many beautiful kits ready to ship, and lovely supplies like Kona cottons and needle minders. We really appreciate each and every one of your orders, especially at times like these when economy is so tough - so thank you for all of your support! And if you need any more supplies, or a gift for someone special, just take a look at our gorgeous online shelves, and get in touch if we can help with anything.
Have a great week everyone
Cheers
Julie
