The last week or so has definitely been a juggle between family life and Clever Poppy. In classic Winter form, we've had at least one kid home sick each day, in that awkward in-between zone where they're too sick to go to school, but also totally full of beans at home and climbing the walls. I'm thankful the bugs are mild, but oh my gosh it's a tricky time! I decided to embrace home activities on Sunday and spent most of the day inside weaving up a storm with Piper. We both made our own woven wall hanging – mine is soft warm colours, and Piper's is of course is a bit brighter and more fun! It was really enjoyable, and I shared heaps of tips in a bunch of videos I shared on the 'gram. If you'd like to follow along, I saved it as a highlight on my Instagram profile. Over at Clever Poppy HQ, Amy has been focused on getting our new kits for the 1st Aug pattern drop prepped and ready to hit the online shelves. Exciting! I've been writing a guide to transferring your patterns to fabric (including on dark fabric). It's a topic that's been coming together in my head for over a year now, and to be honest it has actually been quite a mission to put it all down to paper. But it's totally worth it, because I know this will be an amazing resource for you all. So stay tuned for this new beginner's guide to go live… Anyway I better go, the kids have just decided to play in the lounge with drum sets they've made out of spoons and pots. I can barely think to write this haha! Have a great week everyone |
