This is a wonderful way to practice stitching on dark fabric, which is a challenge on it's own. We are loving all of the Summer Escape patterns popping up in our member group recently! Check out this gorgeous version shared by member Heather...   She said: "Completed #SummerEscape last night. I love it so much. Can't wait to start my next Super Confident Maker!!" What's inspiring me on the creative front... I have never seen such incredible texture in a painting like this piece by talented artist Tereza Bernard (@terezabarnard). Tereza created realist oil paintings, which are inspired by girls wearing tutus and beautiful ruffled dresses. The detail on this piece is absolutely mind-blowing - it looks like it could be a photo! I've just recently discovered Dr Mindy Pelz (@dr.mindypelz), and I'm loving everything she's sharing about fasting (which I'm really interested in). Her book 'Fast Like a Girl' has just arrived on my doorstep, and I am super excited to get into it! I've done quite a bit of fasting over the last 6 years or so, and I'm really into the health benefits. But it's super hard work mentally, don't get me wrong. So I'm quite keen to dive back in, and hear whatever helpful info she shares in this book. So if you've read the book at all I would love to hear your thoughts on it! In our world... Things are a little more back to normal in our house this week, as the Winter bugs seem to have been fought off.  Thanks goodness! So we've squeezed in lots of socialising, exercise and even some spring cleaning. It's quite a weird feeling seeing posts from across the world about summertime and all of the incredibly hot weather. Meanwhile down here in New Zealand we're all rugged up…   Our family has been getting super into watching sport lately too – what with the Women's Soccer World Cup happening on our doorstep, the Netball World Cup live and plenty of All Blacks games. I really love watching sport, and as the kids get older it's something we can share with them too which is so cool!    Here at Clever Poppy HQ, we've been doing lots of planning ahead. I have settled on a really cool idea for a Christmas Stitch along – focused on making a Christmas gift together.
