On the Blog...Beginner's Guide to Transferring Patterns to Fabric Transferring your design onto fabric is one of the first steps in embroidery. There are many different methods of doing this, and it can be a bit daunting for beginners to choose which method is right for them.   So we taken all the pressure away and have put together a beginner's guide for transferring patterns to fabric. You can check it out in our blog article here.    It will walk you through all of the different options and why we would use them - including factors like fabric colour choice, types of pens to use, and water soluble stabilisers.    We hope this is helpful to you, and would love to hear your feedback! How incredibly beautiful is this Floral polymer clay slab made by @roclayco?! I've always admired the world of clay art, and all of the unique pieces and functional items that can be made out of it. All of the little detailed florals on this slab were created by hand and cut to make into earrings. If you are needing a way to keep the kids entertained, here's a fun idea from @paper.crafts.in, where you can turn paper cups into little dolls, with revolving outfits! Life feels very busy of late, as we work on some big things behind the scenes at Clever Poppy, juggle family life, and plan a big shin-dig to celebrate my recent 40th birthday.  I'm finding I need to make sure I get some stitching 'me time' in at the end of the day, in order to stay on top of a good mindset. It's so easy to spend an entire day busily working through the never-ending to do list, without actually pausing and giving ourselves a break. Do you know the feeling? So I'm making sure I practice what I preach. And I am reminded wholeheartedly how even 15 mins of stitching at the end of the day can shift me into a much calmer, present mindset. It's worth its weight in gold, I recommend you try it sometime!    Over the weekend I finished stitching up the bear in my Festive Friends pattern, while watching the last few episodes of the Firefly Lane series. Oh my gosh what a tear-jerker!  I absolutely loved following along the lives of Kate and Tully, and think it was a great watch.    This week at Clever Poppy HQ I'm reshooting tutorials, finalising the Festive Friends pattern, planning the patterns for the first half of 2024, and working on a whole bunch of videos.
