| | Cozy Cat Live Workshop... | | We are sooo excited to announce our new Cozy Cat LIVE workshop, which kicks off with the first lesson from Sunday 8th October at 5pm (PDT). This workshop is great for beginners to embroidery, or reinforcing basic skills and making progress on a new pattern. Plus it's super fun stitching along with a group of likeminded people when we go live! You can sign up by clicking the link below - we would absolutely love to see you there! And if you have friends who are interested in learning this beautiful hobby, please share the sign up link with them too. | | On the Blog... A guide to using Water Soluble Stabiliser | | Have you ever wondered how to use water-soluble stabiliser for transferring your pattern, or why? Transferring your pattern is one of the first steps for working on an embroidery pattern, and there are many different methods including this one. In our latest blog article here, we discuss the pros and cons of using a water-soluble stabiliser, and share a step-by-step guide which walks you through transferring your fabric with this method. We hope this helps you on your embroidery journey and gives you more confidence to give this method a go! | | What have our Makers been up to? | | This embroidered floral tote bag caught our attention when shared by our lovely member Jamie. We love how practical yet beautiful it is!! She said: "I made this bag using what I had learned from Julie on her Home Sweet Home workshop and with her beginner course. I have ended up using it for carrying my embroidery around. I wasn't sure how the woven roses would hold up on a bag but it's been a few months and they still look good!" | | What's inspiring me on the creative front... | | If you are confident with Bullion Knots, you might want to try these beautiful flowers by @happy_jasu. We just love the way she has embraced this challenging technique, layering bullion knots to create raised flowers. You can check out her Instagram page here for more inspiration! | | I stumbled upon this 'date bark' shared by Yumna from @feelgoodfoodie and it looked sooo delicious I thought I would share it with you. This is a great healthy treat alternative to chocolate if you are craving something sweet, and a bonus is it looks pretty simple to make. Let me know if you try it out and what you thought! And if you would like to check out more of Yumna's healthy-ish recipe inspo, you can visit her Instagram page here. | | We are incredibly excited to finally open registrations for our upcoming Cozy Cat workshop! There is a lot of background work and planning that goes into a live event like this, and some of you may remember me testing out this pattern many months ago. But oh how times flies, and I'm sure I'll blink and open my eyes when it's time to kick off on 8th Oct. I would absolutely love to make the pattern with you, so grab your spot today! And share with any friends who're interested too. In other news I hosted a big bash for my 40th birthday party over the weekend. It was sooooo much fun, and completely disappeared in a blur of hugs, chats, cocktails, dancing and lots of laughter. I'm not going to lie…it's Tuesday as I write this and I'm still feeling tired haha. We're also into the last week before school hols kick off, so I'm working through everything I can in order to have a bit of a break with the kids. Wish me luck! Have a great week everyone xx | | No longer want to receive these emails? Unsubscribe. Clever Poppy Ltd 39 Woodside Ave Northcote, Auckland 0627 | | | | |
